Debian on HP Elitebook 8460p
So I got a new HP EliteBook 8460p, with 8 gigs of RAM. The laptop looks and feels solid. Its not your ultracompact, and is fairly heavy. The keyboard is lovely, and the display sharp.
I had some trouble getting Debian to work on it. I first installed squeeze, which is currently stable (May 2012.) But unfortunately I had some driver problems...the display was screwed, the wireless didnt work. I could (and should have) tried installing a newer kernel. But I ended up upgrading to Debian testing.
Most of the stuff works now, although there are minor problems.
But as of now, the system works well, and I'm rolling :)
